London Living Wage Employer

LondonEnergy is an accredited London Living Wage Employer. That means every member of our staff is earning a real living wage. What to expect from the recruitment process?

Here are some of the steps you can expect when applying for a job at LondonEnergy.

When you find an open position that interests you, apply online using our application portal. From there, there are four simple steps to get your application on its way to us.

How to apply

  1. Create profile: When you apply for a role, you must create a profile before submitting your application. This requires an active email address to ensure you receive notifications related to the roles for which you have applied
  2. Upload personal documents: Once you have created your profile, you will be asked to upload your supporting documents.  For all roles, a CV is required to complete the application. If you do not have a CV, you can manually enter your information
  3. Review and send application: Once you have completed all the information on the application page, you will be given the option to review the application in its entirety and amend any information before submitting
  4. Confirmation: You will receive an email confirming that we have received your application. The People Team will get back to you as soon as possible to let you know the outcome - whether it is to invite you for an interview or to let you know if you have not been successful

Steps in the hiring process

We follow a rigorous and transparent recruitment process with several steps.

  • Application

Applications can only be sent online using the link available in the job advert.

Once you have applied, the People Team will get back to you as soon as possible to let you know the outcome, whether to invite you for an interview or let you know if you have not been successful.

  • Pre-screening interview

If your profile matches the role, a member of the People Department will contact you for an initial 10-minute conversation. This will be an opportunity to discuss your motivation, talk about the position, LondonEnergy and ensure you have all the information regarding salary, benefits, commute, etc

  • Invitation to interview

You will be informed as soon as possible if you have been selected for a more extensive interview, and a meeting will be scheduled

First interview

The objective of the interview is to match each other’s expectations and ensure that we get to know each other better. We will focus on your background (professional experience, qualifications, etc.) but also ensure that you share the core elements of our culture and values.

The interview will be conducted by the hiring manager and a member of the People Team. Depending on the role, a panel of managers may also attend the interview. We will, of course, let you know in advance if this is the case.

Second Interview

Depending on the role, a final interview may be organised with a shortlist of candidates. It will be conducted by the hiring manager and a member of the senior leadership team, and/or the Head of People.

  • Pre-employment screening

Please be advised that all UK-based roles are subject to pre-employment screening conducted by a third party.
