International Women's Day, is a global day held on the 8th of March.

International Women's Day (IWD) celebrates the political, social, and economic, achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating gender equality, and the theme for IWD is #BreakTheBias.

At LondonEnergy, it is important for us to raise the profile of the women working with us, and to encourage more women to consider roles in the energy, waste, and recycling industry.  Since 2013, female representation has increased and, we have worked hard to improve gender diversity by actively recruiting more women, implementing training, mentoring, and development programmes. We also have an excellent employee benefits package to help attract a diverse workforce.

Today we have 36% women managers and 12% across the business. Our objective is to have 30% females across the business by the end of 2022.

This international Women’s Day, we are proud to celebrate the success of women working across all levels of the company. Our women work in leadership, mechanical and electrical engineering, information technology, waste operations, and Class 1 and forklift driver roles.
