LondonEnergy is proud to announce that it has successfully maintained its prestigious FORS Gold accreditation, a recognition the company has held for over 15 years. This achievement underscores LondonEnergy’s unwavering commitment to safety, sustainability and operational excellence in fleet management.
Supporting North London’s Circular Economy
Operating from the Edmonton EcoPark facility, LondonEnergy manages a fleet of over 30 heavy goods vehicles (HGVs) and a small number of vans. These vehicles play an essential role in transporting waste for recycling and further processing, ensuring maximum environmental and commercial value is derived from these vital resources. Through this work, LondonEnergy supports the development of a more circular economy and reinvests profits to enhance the recycling and resource management services available to residents across North London.
Gold Standard Recognition
The Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme (FORS) is a voluntary accreditation programme established to raise standards within fleet operations. Achieving FORS Gold status, the scheme’s highest level, signifies that LondonEnergy exceeds industry standards in reducing environmental impact, improving safety and optimising operational efficiency.
“Maintaining our FORS Gold accreditation demonstrates our dedication to doing things better, prioritising safety, sustainability and efficiency,” said Gareth Stephens, LondonEnergy’s Transport and Logistics Manager. “Retaining this accreditation is a fantastic achievement and a testament to the hard work and commitment of our entire transport team.”
Driving Continuous Improvement
FORS Gold advocates for cleaner vehicles, fuel-efficient practices, driver development and safety improvements that help reduce accidents and incidents. The accreditation enables LondonEnergy to streamline operations, reduce costs and lower emissions as part of its broader sustainability strategy. This ongoing commitment delivers a fleet that is safer, cleaner and more efficient, benefiting both the environment and the communities of North London.
