LondonEnergy is part of the beautiful game after signing a two-year sponsorship deal with Enfield Town Ladies FC in 2022. Our logo is the main shirt sponsor for the first and third teams and the under-10s, 15s and 16s.

We caught up with Richard Blundell, Enfield Town Ladies FC Chairman, to find out more.

We are delighted that LondonEnergy has chosen to sponsor five of our teams for the next two years. This will help us continue providing opportunities for girls and women from the local community to play and enjoy football.

On Saturday, 18th March, our under-16s won the Capital Girls League Division 1 title after winning all eleven games, and they still have three games in hand. It was a fantastic day, and the girls did us proud. They’d been the runners-up for the two previous years, so to go one better and take the title was superb.

“They play in the Capital League Cup Final on the 13th of May at Middlesex FA HQ at Rectory Park, so we’re keeping our fingers crossed that they can do the double.

“At Enfield Town, we’ve always been ahead of the game. We started our girl’s teams in 1985, and it’s fantastic to see how many girls enjoy getting involved. There was a surge in interest when the Lionesses won the European Cup, and who knows, with our Player Pathway development programme, we could inspire the next generation of Lionesses.”

LondonEnergy’s Managing Director, Jim Kendall, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for us to support a local club devoted to providing football for all. We are delighted to have become the new first-team sponsor, but equally important is the opportunity to help support the club’s youth teams and be part of their continued growth. We wish all the teams every success for their upcoming season.”

Congratulations to the Enfield Town Ladies, and the best of luck for the 13th of May.
