LondonEnergy adds electric cars to its fleet

LondonEnergy has introduced two BMW i3 electric cars at its EcoPark HQ in Edmonton, north London.

The move demonstrated the continued commitment to reducing CO2 and NOx emissions in London. Four charging points have also been installed at the EcoPark site to ensure EV availability, and the energy is sourced from the household waste generated at their energy recovery facility.

Peter Sharpe, Managing Director of LondonEnergy, commented: “This is a key step for the company in reducing air pollution and carbon emissions, and we are pleased to support the future of a cleaner, greener and more sustainable environment.”

The car provides a travel range of 125 miles from a single charge and is manufactured using 100% energy from renewable sources, runs exclusively on battery power, and 95% of the materials used to produce the car are recyclable.

The cars are available for company staff to use when travelling to meetings, visiting customers and on any other general company business.
