Ian is the London Borough of Hackney’s statutory Chief Finance Officer responsible for the financial administration, planning and control of the Council. He has held the role of Group
Director – Finance and Corporate Services since 2009, before which he was the Assistant Director of Finance.
He has a key role as the London Treasurers lead on Pensions, Treasury and core council funding representing London in discussions with Central Government. He is also the SLT Board observer In relation to the London Collective Investment Vehicle for Borough Pension Funds. He is also a Board Member, appointed by the Mayor of London, to London Treasury Limited. Ian has recently been elected to the Executive Committee of the Society of Municipal Treasurers.
